SOUTHERN NEVADA WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP:
A PORTRAIT OF REGIONAL IMPACT
CELEBRATING EIGHT LEADERS WHOSE WORK STRENGTHENS AND ELEVATES OUR REGION

Southern Nevada’s continued growth is shaped by dynamic women whose leadership spans government, education, business, and civic life. This year, that impact is captured in a compelling new composite portrait by Vegas Chamber member and entrepreneur Kim Dung Ho, designed to honor and document this moment in our region’s history.

Ho’s latest project features eight influential leaders—each serving in roles that strengthen Southern Nevada’s communities, expand economic opportunity, and uplift future generations. Known for storytelling through imagery, Ho said she was honored by the trust these leaders placed in her.

“This image brings together women whose leadership continues to shape our region,” she shared. “I’m deeply grateful for the time and dedication each of them brought to this process.”

The portrait includes (in order left to right):

  • Jhone Ebert, Superintendent, Clark County School District – Representing a commitment to education and future workforce development.
  • Mary Beth Sewald, President & CEO, Vegas Chamber – Advancing the Chamber’s mission to support business success and prosperity across Nevada.
  • Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown, City of North Las Vegas – Providing steady guidance as a respected regional figure and championing strategic development, education, and equity in one of Nevada’s fastest-growing cities.
  • Mayor Shelley Berkley, City of Las Vegas – A respected public servant guiding the city through its next chapter of innovation and inclusive growth.
  • Mayor Michelle Romero, City of Henderson – Representing a community known for smart development and resident-first leadership.
  • Danielle Casey, CEO, President & CEO, Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance – Driving economic initiatives that diversify and strengthen the region.
  • Lauri Perdue, National Workforce Director, University of Phoenix – Championing higher education access and student achievement.
  • Jerrie E. Merritt, Senior Vice President and Community Development Manager, Bank of Nevada – Empowering communities through financial leadership and strategic outreach.

More than a visual tribute, this portrait symbolizes the collaboration happening across jurisdictions, sectors, and institutions. Together, these women represent a shared commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive Southern Nevada. By highlighting this work, the Vegas Chamber is proud to celebrate not only the women pictured—but also the greater story of leadership, resilience, and regional progress they represent.
